DELL LATITUDE 7410 14 DEPTH REVIEW

hey guys it seems that many of you have been researching the dell latitude 7410 laptop to see whether it is good that or whether it is good for work or business etc going through the specs and doing some research to see whether this laptop is really weighted and when i did do a search on dell i found that this was the cheapest one that i could find which was it goes quite up to the 2 000 range which is quite a lot for a laptop uh so the question is whether this laptop is really worth it now we're going to go through the specs very quickly but at the end of the day the whole idea is to give you an idea whether thin thing is really with it or not so stay tuned as we do that let's have a look at the processor and the processor seems to be an i510 two one zero let's have a look at the benchmarks what we should expect out of this laptop and from that we can have a basic idea of what the performance looks like now most of these latitude laptops of course they are for business and so i'm not too sure if we should focus on the gaming but i will touch on it as we go along okay so we see that the i5 processor um is using it it's actually a four core quad core processor but it has eight threads that's good because it means that it's multi-threaded so instead of just running four things simultaneously in the background uh it's actually running a thing simultaneously uh you know with some you know let's just see it's average at these things okay um what we see is it runs at typically between 10 to 25 watts that's good for the batteries and we see a pass mark of 65.39 all right so that's pretty good anything over 5000 i would say is well would uh working you know business wise you shouldn't have too much stutter and things slowing down in fact i would expect that this is going to run quite a number of windows with xl powerpoint etc and give you quite a a good experience and you could probably run like about 20 different browsers that's not going to bother this machine based on this stats um so processor wise it's not one of the greatest i mean compared to like the horizons which can actually go up to over 10 000 but it's definitely at the same time more than worth handling you know most business cases it also comes with windows 10 pro that's nice because it means that it's going to have you know networking capabilities and domain capabilities active directory etc if you need to work with this in the office and you do have those features already with windows server it does come with eight gigs of ram i think that's uh it's not bad you're gonna be able to run most apps with this you're gonna be able to run like you know as i said with excel powerpoint uh all these things are tnot are gonna be pretty easy you will get away running photoshop you will get away running on lightroom as well too most of the adobe products should run on 8 gigs but that doesn't mean that this is necessarily a good laptop for that because we don't know anything it doesn't say anything about the graphics and i suspect for this price it may be integrated graphics and not dedicated graphics and a lot of the times for those applications you will need a dedicated graphics it does come with a very small ssd drive well an nvme solid state drive this means that the nvme is about 10 times faster than a normal you know like a 5400 rpm mechanical drive um so it's that this is going to speed up the computer a lot and and and you know it should run uh pretty smoothly because of the combination between the processor and this particular nvme drive you should expect boot times of perhaps 10 seconds i would average so that's pretty good compared to the mechanical drives but the size is quite small and i mean for something that is 15 nearly 1600 us dollars i think that so far we're not getting the value that we deserve from uh a laptop that is priced like this many laptops are priced even below one thousand dollars and come with 256 gigabytes of nvme and even 512 of nvme so consider that as well now i want to mention something concerning the price now the prices sometimes also include of course warranty and most laptops that are under a thousand dollars usually have one year of covered warranty so be very careful with that with that being said uh is it is it so far to me with it i would say i am not impressed as yet let's have a look at what else is available here and we do see its integrated graphics so that means that you sh you know if you're going to look for this laptop for gaming i would suggest you don't because this is not going to be able to handle anything of high quality it's going to just be able to handle maybe 720p of graphics if you're not into gaming well i guess this part of the video doesn't matter so much but let me move on as well so you may be able to get through with low graphics low gaming maybe minecraft on this laptop but other than that uh don't expect too much all right so as you see it's included the 128 gig uh price this as i say is not going to be too uh too much of a problem if it's just word excel and powerpoint but if you go into videos or having music on thi or anything like or photos et cetera you're going to run out of space really fast in fact windows alone will take up probably 32 gigabytes of the space to start and grow as you add your application so i would not suggest the 128 gigabytes drive i would suggest something larger the display we see a standard uh display i do like the idea that it has a 14 inch display but is it worth 1500 i don't think it is let's have a look at very quickly the keyboard you can you do have the option that's great that you do have the option for a backlit keyboard and i would suggest that if you were to purchase purchase this laptop make sure to get the backlit keyboard because a lot of work gets done in the dark and um i i you know a lot of times especially if you're a business person you may take your work home and you may be on the bed and you may switch off the lights and you know you you you still want to get your work done perhaps while your spouse is sleeping etc you will definitely need that that lighted keyboard it does come with the wireless card which is pretty standard for most for all laptops nowadays and you have the option of the mobile broadband if necessary and as i said the price hikes up as you keep adding this stuff it also comes with a very small uh cell in fact it comes with a tree cell and not even a four cell which is usually what most other laptops will provide off hand so that means that this three cell is probably gonna give you about six hours i would average six so maybe if you're lucky on power saving mode seven hours uh it doesn't come with a palm rest and i see that it doesn't come with a palm a reader fingerprint reader for security unless you add in 32 dollars so overall uh let's see what else you get you do actually get three years of hardware warranty with on-site in-home service after remote diagnosis that's not bad for the price as you can see three years of support let's average it at about 120 us dollars extra if you were to minus that out you'd see that this laptop is probably about 1400 without that support um so that is not bad but for 1400 you can do a lot better by finding an alternative laptop um perhaps a different brand so with that being said i hope that this helps you guys out if i were to average the price this laptop should probably be going at i would suggest that this laptop isn't worth more than i would say 900 bucks if that much um it's a bit disappointing so with that being said i it's not you know this these comments are not meant to insult anyone that has the laptops it's just meant to give you an
